Numeracy Week 6 Term 3

This week in Numeracy we have been working on adding different factions together. How we solved some of these was to use pictures and cut them into the needed fraction. Here is a glimpse of my my work. Hope you enjoy.

Dinosaur Detective

During Literacy this week we were reading a book about Dinosaurs,  and Miss Reissman made up the table about Dinosaur Detectives.   Here is what I have done so far.

For literacy this week in my free writing I chose to write about mine craft. Here is the information I have found. My favourite thing about mine craft is having the strongest armour which is called bed rock and it gives you a 1000 hearts to make your life last longer and I also like having the strongest sword.

For maths this week, i have been

Lion Writing.

This week I have been choosing a image from google and then writing about the image is showing,   In this one I chose a image of a Lion Cub.  I hope you enjoy my information.

This week for writing we had to make a poster to advertise a book that we enjoy from our school library.  We had to have a catchy question and some interesting adjectives on our poster.  Here is mine.    

Top Team Games

This week we did Top Team Games. At Top Team Games we do heaps of different fun activities.  My  favorite part was getting soaked in the water activities. I hope we do it again next year

Last week we were writing diamante poems.  We had to brainstorm words that were to do with ANZAC Day.  Here is my list of words.

This week for numeracy I did a google drawing of how to do place value to 1000. Here it is. I found this hard but I learnt a lot.  I learnt about tens, hundreds and thousands, and what columns they go in.

Shark in the dark

The book is a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating from me

The book is about a boy who thinks he is seeing a shark but the first time the shark was a sail boat. The next time it was a seagull, the next time it was an ice cream. Then his dad put him to bed and you could see a shark in the distance.
This is a very funny story.

Recycled Creature Art Reflection

This week we made recycled creatures. I made a shark all by myself.

I made it out of a paper cup and toothpicks and cellotape and pom pom balls.

This week we were learning to break down numbers into thousands, hundreds, tens and ones.
